    The man makes a lot of good points, but on the flipside, most peopls take what John Crawford says at face value, rather than researching the issue for themselves.

    As with everyone, John’s statements are subject to his own personal biases and opinions, quite a few of which would probably change if he were to open his mind to ideas other than the standard republican view which is that Obama is trying to destroy this country.

    here is a website that shows a lot of the literal meanings, including putting John’s “exact excerpts” side by side with the ACTUAL exact excerpts.

    If you are truly interested in this topic, you will not blindly disregard this comment.

    When medicare was starting up in the 60s, most conservatives (republicans) were opposed, saying that we would become a socialistic society. When that did not happen they quieted down and enjoyed their government funded medical care.

    Now the same thing is happening: conservatives are afraid of change (as the meaning of the word conservative implies) and use any excuse they can to try and fight that change.

    If we are going to function as a modern society, we need to change things from the small town, large family, conservative ways, and put something into effect that will help the growing population. I am not saying that these new bills are perfect or that they will not need reform, on the contrary in fact, as I know as our population and society changes and grows, we will need newer laws. Possibly laws that may contradict the traditional views that most conservatives have.
