A Brother

I met a new brother this morning, actually he isn't new I just didn't know him. I was on my way home from a trip and stopped at a truck stop. A fellow walking in as I was leaving made a comment about the outhouse they had for the men. No kidding they really have a temporary outhouse for the men at the Flying J in Jerome. As we got to talking we found that we really are brothers in Christ and had a great time of fellowship. I failed to get his name but maybe if he reads this he will send me his name, hint hint. We shared about what an awesome God we have and some of his blessings. As I write this I have just looked at the FaceBook page for the Warhawk Museum in Nampa Id. and about he unveiling of the Boise Bee P-51 Mustang they have restored. This will be Sat. July 23, 2011 at the museum at Nampa airport. See more at Warhawk FB or at their website http://www.warhawkairmuseum.org. They are selling rides in a P-51 for a price, I am not sure how much but check it out if you have a desire to ride in one of the greatest aircraft ever built. The Warhawk is doing a great job of bringing people and planes to Idaho for a look at WWII and the history of it. As the leaders of our Nation squabble over this tremendous debt load they have put on us and our descendents we can at least learn more about how our freedom was won and honor the people that made it possible, you will meet some of them there. To celebrate this season I wanted to tell you about my King. He has been my King for over 30 years now and I hope he is yours also. I found this short video and decided to let Dr. S.M. Lockridge tell you more.

We celebrate the birth of this King this month, I hope ths Christmas means as much to you as it does to me. It is not about receiving gifts, it's not about giving gifts. I found the real magic of this season and Christmas day is about LOVE, a love we don't deserve, that we can't earn or buy, it is freely given and was paid for on the cross nearly 2000 years ago.

Look What’s Happening In England

This kind of looks like what is going on in the U.S.A. but is a little further along. Muslim always comes up in these talks and probably is the biggest influence there since the have a much larger muslim population, but what about the gay or queer agenda? As we get further away from God's influence we find more sin and corruption. Also remember they don't have their guns anymore, they gave them up.

A Sad Story Or A Happy Ending?

I read a real sad story today, but it is a story that happens many times every day. It also is a story that does not have to be.

Let me tell you about the man in the story, he was well known, had money, very successful, great wife and on and on. But he was dying of cancer and he was afraid of dying. Maybe you saw the story too, it was in the Parade insert in the Sunday paper 4/25/2010. It was not the whole story that is sad, it would not be sad at all if he had the peace that Jesus gave him. But we all will die someday, what is the difference of fear of dying and peace at that time?

There is only one thing that can give us peace on our death bed and in our life and that is a personal relationship with Jesus the One who died for us. The One who made it possible for you and I to spend eternity in Heaven with Father God.

Star Parker – Uncle Sam’s Plantation

The "plantation nation", that is what the USA has become. I remember several years ago a report that over 50% of the population was supported by the government in one form or another. I am sure it is much more today and the socialist leaders we have are pushing for all of it. RECENT VIRGINIA CHURCH SERVICE-STIMULUS SERMON

Genesis 47:13-27

I would love to give the Pastor of this predominantly black church in

Virginia a hug and a high five. This guy is obviously a leader

Perhaps we should each decide who our

real leader is....It is amazing to see that very little has

changed in 4,000 years.

Good morning, brothers and sisters; it's always a delight to see

the pews crowded on Sunday morning, and so eager to get into

God's Word. Turn with me in your Bibles, if you will to the 47th

chapter of Genesis, we'll begin our reading at verse 13, and go

through verse 27.

Brother Ray, would you stand and read that great passage for us?

....(reading)... Here is that scripture. bp

(Gen 47:13) Now there was no food in all the land, because the famine was very severe, so that the land of Egypt and the land of Canaan languished because of the famine.

(Gen 47:14) Joseph gathered all the money that was found in the land of Egypt and in the land of Canaan for the grain which they bought, and Joseph brought the money into Pharaoh's house.

(Gen 47:15) When the money was all spent in the land of Egypt and in the land of Canaan, all the Egyptians came to Joseph and said, "Give us food, for why should we die in your presence? For our money is gone."

(Gen 47:16) Then Joseph said, "Give up your livestock, and I will give you food for your livestock, since your money is gone."

(Gen 47:17) So they brought their livestock to Joseph, and Joseph gave them food in exchange for the horses and the flocks and the herds and the donkeys; and he fed them with food in exchange for all their livestock that year.

(Gen 47:18) When that year was ended, they came to him the next year and said to him, "We will not hide from my lord that our money is all spent, and the cattle are my lord's. There is nothing left for my lord except our bodies and our lands.

(Gen 47:19) "Why should we die before your eyes, both we and our land? Buy us and our land for food, and we and our land will be slaves to Pharaoh. So give us seed, that we may live and not die, and that the land may not be desolate."

(Gen 47:20) So Joseph bought all the land of Egypt for Pharaoh, for every Egyptian sold his field, because the famine was severe upon them. Thus the land became Pharaoh's.

(Gen 47:21) As for the people, he removed them to the cities from one end of Egypt's border to the other.

(Gen 47:22) Only the land of the priests he did not buy, for the priests had an allotment from Pharaoh, and they lived off the allotment which Pharaoh gave them. Therefore, they did not sell their land.

(Gen 47:23) Then Joseph said to the people, "Behold, I have today bought you and your land for Pharaoh; now, here is seed for you, and you may sow the land.

(Gen 47:24) "At the harvest you shall give a fifth to Pharaoh, and four-fifths shall be your own for seed of the field and for your food and for those of your households and as food for your little ones."

(Gen 47:25) So they said, "You have saved our lives! Let us find favor in the sight of my lord, and we will be Pharaoh's slaves."

(Gen 47:26) Joseph made it a statute concerning the land of Egypt valid to this day, that Pharaoh should have the fifth; only the land of the priests did not become Pharaoh's.

(Gen 47:27) Now Israel lived in the land of Egypt, in Goshen, and they acquired property in it and were fruitful and became very numerous.

Thank you for that fine reading, Brother Ray... So we see that >economic hard times fell upon Egypt , and the people turned to the government of Pharaoh to deal with this for them. And Pharaoh nationalized the grain harvest, and placed the grain in great storehouses

that he had built. So the people brought their money to Pharaoh, like a

great tax increase, and gave it all to him willingly in return for grain. And

this went on until their money ran out, and they were hungry again.

So when they went to Pharaoh after that, they brought their

livestock -their cattle, their horses, their sheep, and their donkey -

to barter for grain, and verse 17 says that only took them through

the end of that year..

But the famine wasn't over, was it? So the next year, the people

came before Pharaoh and admitted they had nothing left, except

their land and their own lives. "There is nothing left in the sight

of my lord but our bodies and our land. Why should we die before

your eyes, both we and our land? Buy us and our land for food,

and we with our land will be servants to Pharaoh.." So they

surrendered their homes, their land, and their real estate to

Pharaoh's government, and then sold themselves into slavery

to him, in return for grain. What can we learn from this, brothers

and sisters?

That turning to the government instead of to God to be our provider

in hard times only leads to slavery? Yes.. That the only reason

government wants to be our provider is to also become our master?

Yes.

But look how that passage ends, brothers and sisters! Thus Israel

settled in the land of Egypt , in the land of Goshen .. And they gained

possessions in it, and were fruitful and multiplied greatly." God

provided for His people, just as He always has! They didn't end up

giving all their possessions to government, no, it says they gained

possessions! But I also tell you a great truth today, and an ominous

one. We see the same thing happening today - the government today

wants to "share the wealth "once again, to take it from us and redistribute

it back to us. It wants to take control of health care, just as it has taken

control of education, and ration it back to us, and when government

rations it, then government decides who gets it, and how much, and

what kind. And if we go along with it, and do it willingly, then we will

wind up no differently than the people of Egypt did four thousand years

ago - as slaves to the government, and as slaves to our leaders.

What Mr. Obama's government is doing now is no different from what

Pharaoh's government did then, and it will end the same. And a lot of

people like to call Mr.. Obama a "Messiah," don't they? Is he a Messiah?

A savior? Didn't the Egyptians say, after Pharaoh made them his slaves,

"You have saved our lives; may it please my lord, we will be servants to Pharaoh"?

Well, I tell you this -

I know the Messiah; the Messiah is a friend of mine;

and Mr. Obama is no Messiah! No, brothers and sisters,

if Mr. Obama is a character from the Bible, then he is Pharaoh.

Bow with me in prayer, if you will.

Lord, You alone are worthy to be served, and we rely on You, and You alone.

We confess that the government is not our deliverer, and never rightly will be.

We read in the eighth chapter of 1 Samuel, when Samuel warned the people

of what a ruler would do, where it says "And in that day you will cry out

because of your king, whom you have chosen for yourselves, but

the LORD will not answer you in that day." And Lord, we acknowledge

that day has come. We cry out to you because of the ruler that we have

chosen for ourselves as a nation. Lord, we pray for this nation.. We pray

for revival, and we pray for deliverance from those who would be our masters.

Give us hearts to seek You and hands to serve You, and protect Your people

from the atrocities of Pharaoh's government.

In God We Trust...

We Are Spoiled in the Good Ol USA

Reading the Idaho Press-Tribune today, Eric Muhr in For the Record, reports that - Of the world's 17 leading nations, the United States tops the list for having the largest percentage of it's population living in poverty. I wonder if we don't have our wants and appetites set too high in this country. I have been in the third world as I am sure many of you have. I never went as a tourist and always have stayed or lived with or among the natives. Out where they have none of the things we think we can't live without, they have never had and never will. Do they miss them? No. Even many homeless people here live better than the general population in some places. The first time I spent time in several nations of Asia I came home and looked at how we live, how spoiled we are, the waste, and I got mad. We don't even appreciate the freedoms we have enjoyed in this great Republic we have and all we do is want, we become slaves of our wants. I think there is something in the Ten Commandments and other places in the Word of God about that but our government is telling us we can't have them anymore. I bet you have a Bible laying around somewhere though if you look hard enough, if you don't you can go to E-Sword and download an excellent program with lots of bibles and resources for free. I hope this raise's a few hackles, look around, read about the founding of this nation. A good book to start is "The Light and the Glory" by Peter Marshall and David Manuel.

Conservative vs Liberal – The Difference

I had to post this, don't know who wrote it but he/she is very intuitive.

I don't think I've ever seen the differences explained any better.... If a conservative doesn't like guns, he doesn't buy one. If a liberal doesn't like guns, then no one should have one. If a conservative is a vegetarian, he doesn't eat meat. If a liberal is, he wants to ban all meat products for everyone. If a conservative sees a foreign threat, he thinks about how to defeat his enemy. A liberal wonders how to surrender gracefully and still look good. If a conservative is homosexual, he quietly enjoys his life. If a liberal is homosexual, he loudly demands legislated respect. If black or Hispanic men are conservative, they see himselves as independently successful. Their liberal counterparts see themselves as victims in need of government protection. If a conservative is down-and-out, he thinks about how to better his situation. A liberal wonders who is going to take care of him. If a conservative doesn't like a talk show host, he switches channels. Liberals demand that those they don't like be shut down. If a conservative is a non-believer, he doesn't go to church. A non-believing liberal wants all churches to be silenced. If a conservative decides he needs health care, he goes about shopping for it, or he may choose a job that provides it. A liberal demands that his neighbors pay for his health care.

Heart Attack

Hi from Nampa Idaho Well I lost most of this week, had a heart attack last Sunday and had a stent put in my heart. Guess I never thought it would happen to me. We never know about these things but thankfully we have a Great God who takes care of us if we let Him. Everything worked out fine since I got to the hospital quickly and have little damage to the heart. Kind of a wake up call though, doc said even smoking 35 years ago can have lasting effects on the heart. I am mostly vegan so eat pretty healthy and thought the heart was healthy but remember having some trouble a month and a half ago when I loaded the last load of trailers and took them to California. Had trouble getting enough air and was dragging when I got done. It was the same way when I unloaded in CA, by the time I got all my chains and binders stashed on the tractor I was beat. Now time to get back to giving you some important news so watch the blog. Maybe a day or so. Bob
