Shut Up and Conform
I had to post this today, on Monday night I watched part of Charlie Rose with John Kerry as guest. Charlie asked "what if the people don't want it", they were talking about energy but I didn't get the whole question. Anyway, Kerry answered something like "we don't care what the people want we are going to do it anyway". Of course we know they don't care what the people want so we have to kick them out.
Shut Up and Conform

Dear Bob,
Two weeks ago, the House of Representatives voted to tack the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" (DADT) revocation onto the Defense Authorization bill--a legislative trick designed to give protective cover to Members of Congress who don't wish to go on record as voting for open homosexuality in the military. The Senate Armed Services Committee did the same.
Now, many members of the U.S. Senate who have not decided how they will vote will be placed under immense political pressure to vote for sending vital supplies and armaments to our troops while downplaying the fact that the needs of our brave men and women in uniform are being used as a pretext to advance a radical social-political agenda.
President Obama and the Congressional leadership have chosen to ignore the planned year-long study of the policy by the military, along with grave concerns from all four of the military service chiefs, about the ramifications of overturning the law. They have, in effect, told our qualified military leaders to shut up and conform.
This is not over in the Senate. The bill--which also includes a provision that would turn our domestic and foreign military bases into taxpayer-subsidized abortion clinics - still awaits a vote by the full Senate. We need your help in telling Congress and the President that our troops should not be used to advance the Left's radical agenda. Please sign our petition which we will present to the Senate this month as they take up debate on this issue. We already have 70,000 signatures and hope to have 100,000 by the time we present it to the Senate.
If you've already signed, please share this with as many friends as possible, so it can have maximum effect.
Sincerely,
Tony Perkins
President
