How can a U.S. senator call the U.S.A. a democracy? Does he not know the difference between a democracy and a republic? If the people we send to Washington don't even know what we are why are they there. Maybe we need to give candidates for senators and representives and president a aptitude test before they can run for office. I know this is a little thing compared to what we have in the white house but it is so close to home.
